About the Hub

The Sudan Digital Investigation Hub was created in response to the growing risks posed by information manipulation, online incitement, and the rapid spread of unverified content in conflict settings. Journalists and civil society actors are increasingly required to navigate complex digital environments while protecting sources, safeguarding evidence, and avoiding harm. This platform is designed for journalists, OSINT practitioners, researchers, and civil society organisations seeking practical, structured guidance for digital investigations.

Through five focused modules, the hub combines expert-led video lessons, concise audio briefings, and a dedicated resources section featuring practical tools, templates, and reference materials. Each module aligns with a key stage of the investigative process and is built for real-world application. The platform is designed with low-bandwidth access in mind and integrates safety and ethical considerations throughout, ensuring it remains usable and relevant in high-risk and resource-constrained environments.

Reliable investigation is the foundation of responsible reporting. This hub exists to support Sudanese journalists in navigating digital complexity with clarity, care, and evidence.
