Welcome to the Sudan Digital Investigation Hub

This hub is designed as a practical learning, investigation and support space for Sudanese media practitioners.

It brings together training, tools and resources to support journalists, researchers, fact-checkers and civil society actors working in complex digital and conflict-affected information environments. The hub aims to strengthen the ability of media practitioners to investigate disinformation, verify digital content, assess risks, document findings and publish responsibly.



The hub is intended to grow continuously. New resources, learning pathways and specialist courses will be added over time, including an upcoming OSINT certification track for practitioners who want to deepen their open-source investigation skills and build more structured practical competencies.

The platform currently includes a digital investigation toolkit organised around key stages of the investigative process, from detecting early signals and verifying evidence to analysing patterns and preparing responsible public-interest content. It also includes a dedicated psychosocial support section, recognising that those working on conflict, disinformation and harmful online content need practical support for wellbeing, resilience and sustainable working practices.

The Sudan Digital Investigation Hub was developed by the Thomson Foundation as part of the Sudan Digital Resilience Project funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
